Brain Computer Interface
Explaining brain computer interface technology
Project Background
After a severe brain injury, people can sometimes lose the ability to speak or move. Scientists have developed new technology that can interpret brain activity and transmit this information digitally to a computer to help these individuals speak or to control robotic tools.
Our Work
We developed a set of animated videos to explain how Brain Computer Interfaces work and some of the possible ethical issues involved in this new technology.

Results
The videos were made for a study funded by The Brain Research Through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies Initiative and have been used in research with people who have experienced brain injury.
